Ingrid Verseveldt

Ingrid Renee Verseveldt holds an ARCT and a M. Mus. (University of Victoria) in Piano Performance. She has studied with Bruce Vogt, Joachim Segger, and Damjana Bratuz, and has performed in Masterclasses for Paul Badura-Skoda. She received a Canada Council Grant in 1986 to study with Gyorgy Sebok at the Banff School of Fine Arts. Ingrid has collaborated with many school, community and church choirs including Phoenix Chamber Choir, the BCMEA Honour Concert Choir from 2003-2007, the Burnaby Central Chamber Choir, the Amabilis Singers since September 2002, and Vivo Children’s Choir of which she is a co-founder and co-director.

In recognition of her commitment to Music Education in schools, Ingrid received a Leadership in Education Award in 2005 from the BC Coalition for Music Education. In addition to her contribution to Choral Music, Ingrid frequently performs Chamber Music in the Lower Mainland. She has also co-composed and performed three children’s musicals between 1998 and 2008. Ingrid is a Registered Music Teacher, teaching in Burnaby where she lives with her husband Ian and their five children.
