Our Homecoming Concert

8:00pm Saturday, September 26, 2015
New Westminster Christian Reformed Church, Burnaby
8255 13th Ave., between 1st St. & Newcombe

Just back from an amazing tour in Italy, the Amabilis Singers would love to share their music and experiences with you before the vibrant memories of spectacular venues and unbelievable heat subside! Join us for an evening of sacred music by Adams, Forbes, Helvey, Luengen, Mozart, Stopford and others.

“I feel so very grateful to have had the opportunity to sing with such collective passion and heart in so many amazing venues. In every single performance, from the Pantheon to the Duomo in Orvieto, we were able to transport ourselves and our audiences to places that only choral music can take us.” — Linda Emigh, soprano

“As the sounds of our voices lofted into the dome and out through the oculus of the Pantheon in Rome, my eyes filled with tears. I was in awe: I was now one of the thousands and upon thousands who had sung praises to God in that magnificent church for 2000 years.” — Mary Ann Pylypchuk, alto

Adults/Seniors: $20 | Children under 11: free

Into the Light

with guest violinist, Andrea Siradze

8:00pm Saturday, April 9, 2016
New Westminster Christian Reformed Church, Burnaby
8255 13th Ave., between 1st St. & Newcombe

We invite you to join us as we undertake a unique journey from darkness into light. We will embrace the peaceful beauty of the night through works such as Gjeilo’s Serenity and Elder’s Lullaby, and view the splendor of the evening sky as depicted by composers Esenvald and Lauridsen.

Day follows night with the arrival of dawn, that warm herald of life and love, all beautifully portrayed by the gifted pens of Eric Barnum, Dan Forrest, Howard Helvey and Arnold Schoenberg. Violinist Andrea Siradze joins our very own Ingrid Verseveldt in a performance of Arvo Pärt’s Fratres.

Adults/Seniors: $20 | Children under 11: free
Tickets: Available from all choir members, at the door, or by calling 604.503.2074.
